Specifications:
The Next
Rocker works all over the world.
The rocker uses 24V DC
supplied by a small external power supply that plugs into
a wall outlet. Next Advance will supply the
appropriate power supply for the local power and wall
outlet configuration.
The maximum
load.
The rocker can handle 11
lbs. (5 kg).
The range
for the tilt angle.
The amount that the rocker
platform tilts back and forth can be adjusted from as
little as +/- 1 degree to as much as +/- 18 degrees.
The rocking
rate
The rocking rate can be as
slow as barely moving to a maximum speed of 80 cycles per
minute (160 rocking motions per minute). Alternative
versions are available with slower, more powerful motors.
See the next FAQ.
Slow and
Super Slow versions
The Next Rockers come in
standard, slow, and super slow versions. The
standard version can rock at speeds up to about 80 cycles
per minute. For those many applications that require
slow, smooth rocking, we recommend the slow ( up to about
20 cycles per minute) or super slow (up to about 5 cycles
per minute) versions. They provide much finer speed
control at the lower speeds. There is an additional
cost of $100 for these versions. The motor in these
versions is geared down for slower operation and greater
power, just as gears on a bicycle allow for more power at
lower speeds. We highly recommend these versions,
because of the additional power, for the extra large
platform rocker, Next Rocker XL, and for the Stack-3 and
Stack-4 Rockers.
Use in
incubators/cold rooms
The Next Rocker can operate
in incubators (up to 60C) or cold rooms (down to 4C) if
the temperature is kept constant and the humidity is not
excessive. Temperature swings which cause
condensation will damage the electronics and void the
warranty. In fact, the electronic circuitry
includes additional heat sinks to ensure reliable
operation at elevated temperatures.
What if the
motor burns out?
Will the motor burn
out? Yes, after years of use. If it does, we
will refurbish the unit and replace the motor for $200
plus shipping.
Warranty
The NEXT ROCKER comes with a
30 day money back guarantee and a 2 year warranty.
Accidents or condensation void the warranty. Next
Advance is not liable for any consequential damages.

Troubleshooting
If nothing
happens, check
that the rocker is plugged in and that power switch on the
front of the instrument is turned on.
If the unit
stops working,
turn the system off for 15 minutes to allow the
electronics to reset. If the Next Rocker does not turn on
after this period, contact customer service.
