The Bullet Blender® high-throughput homogenizer with BioBox™ enhancement enables you to homogenize up to 24 samples - tissue, cells, etc. - simultaneously in separate screw-cap microcentrifuge tubes, with additional protection against pathogens and other potentially hazardous samples. Need to quickly process your samples? No problem! Grind up tissue, cells, small organisms, and more in just 3-5 minutes. Full automation ensures that you get highly reproducible results, while the locking enclosure, kept under negative pressure, provides an extra level of protection unmatched by other automated homogenization systems! Also, since your samples are contained inside the microcentrifuge tubes the entire time, the Bullet Blender with BioBox™ reduces the handling of dangerous samples. Simply load up to 300mg of your samples with grinding beads and your choice of buffer in standard screw-cap microcentrifuge tubes. Place the tubes into the Bullet Blender with BioBox™ (pictured above), close the Bullet Blender and the BioBox™ and lock the containment unit. The run is started using the exterior control panel and then our patented Striking Technology causes the beads to be rapidly agitated inside the tubes, breaking up the sample and lysing the cells in just a few minutes. The BioBox™ enhancement for the Bullet Blender® offers an extra barrier of protection. The BioBox™ enhancement must be ordered with a BBX-screw cap microcentrifuge tube model Bullet Blender® . With this enhancement, the Bullet Blender® is built into a negative pressure, locking containment unit. The housing and containment unit are clear so leaks or spills are readily identifiable. Controls are mounted on the outside of the containment unit. * This is a factory installed enhancement, so the BBX24W or BBX24BW must be ordered at the same time.
