Position: We are seeking a part time production technician to handle assembly, packaging, and labeling the accessories and supplies for our instrumentation products, 15-30 hours a week (on site). This position will report to the administrative manager.

Company Background: Next Advance designs, manufactures, markets, and sells biotechnology equipment at its facility in Pittstown/Brunswick on Route 7, 15 minutes east of downtown Troy. We develop and manufacture products that help researchers worldwide develop vaccines, new pharmaceutical drugs for diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Lyme Diseases, test cures for cancer and improve nutritional value of food. We are a leading provider of laboratory instrumentation and sell our products to research biologists throughout the world. Requirements:

• High school diploma.
• Basic proficiency with computers.
• Detail oriented.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Hard working.

 Responsibilities:

• Put together kits of accessories and supplies, and package accessories for our laboratory instruments.
• Package, label, and prepare supplies products.
• Inspect incoming raw materials.
• Basic inventory maintenance.
• Maintain clean environment in the production area and common areas of the facility.
• Support general production tasks, most of which involve repetitive, detail-focused work.
• Assist with other duties as assigned to support smooth operations.

Compensation: Starting rate: $18/hour and negotiable commensurate with experience.

Physical Demands: Ability to lift a minimum of 15 pounds independently on an occasional basis. Ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing or sitting at a work station or moving about all areas within the facility.
