The magnetic rack system consists of 3 parts: a tube rack; a magnetic stand; and a mixing base. The system is optimized for the three types of steps in the magnetic bead extraction protocols: pipetting, magnetic separation, and mixing.
The tube rack, shown top right, holds up to eight 1.5 or 2 mL tubes.
For magnetic bead separation, place the tube rack on the magnetic stand.
The mixing base captures the tubes in the tube rack for easy mixing. Can be mixed by hand or placed on a rocker.
