Bullet Blender 5E Pro (5 mL snap cap tubes, 1.5 and 2 mL tubes with adapter)

We use the Bullet Blender [Bullet Blender Gold] to homogenize mouse tissue, and it has proven to have the ability to homogenize the tissue much efficiency. As a result, the reproducibility of our experiments has increased drastically.

We bought our Bullet Blender [Bullet Blender 5E Gold] because we were having trouble grinding roots. It was taking forever by hand. The Bullet Blender got the job done in no time. We have the 5ml slots, but have also used 2ml tubes with the adapters. We only ran into an issue once, but Next Advance’s customer and technical help got it solved in under an hour! It’s a great machine and has saved us so much time!

The Bullet Blender [Bullet Blender Storm Pro] has been an excellent addition to our high-throughput plant breeding lab. The Blender was well packaged and arrived in the lab in excellent condition. The initial setup and making adjustments for the different tube types was very easy. We are using the lock tight 1.5 ml tubes. After a few test runs, we found it was really important to make sure lids are securely snapped closed. On our first 3 test runs with 12 and 24 tubes, occasionally a tube will pop open and loose liquid. Just need to pay attention to the tube lids. The Blender is fairly quiet, you can still carry on a conversation next to it. After running 2,400 samples there does appear to be an accumulation of plastic dust in and around the machine. At the end of the busy season, we did thoroughly clean the machine. Overall, we have been very pleased and would highly recommend.

The Bullet Blender [Bullet Blender Storm Pro and Bullet Blender 50 DX] is an awesome addition to our lab. It is very reliable and works great with our fecal samples. It is easy to use and consistently works for homogenizing our samples for downstream RNA extraction.

This [Bullet Blender 5E and Bullet Blender Storm] is a work horse for our research group. It is used multiple times a day. My only wish is that the tube holder/top could be removable so that we could clean up spills and such.

I have used bullet blender [Bullet Blender 5E Pro] throughout my postdoc. It works amazing. I have used this for skin tissue for homogenization and skin cells which I used for western blot, PCR application. Best to homogenize tissue.

This is very great equipment [Bullet Blender Gold] for homogenizing samples for almost all purposes, like DNA/RNA extraction, protein extraction, etc. There are a variety of blender beads and lysis buffer for different assays, esp. the different size beads, prefilled beads, or bulk package beads. All these make the lab work EZ to go and more efficient. Last but not least, the machine has a cooling system to keep samples safe. Additionally, the customer service team is very knowledgeable and kind. They can answer any questions or concerns you have and help you to make the best selections of what kind, what size of the beads and appropriate lysis buffer to ensure your success of your experiments. We’ve been using Bullet Blenders [Bullet Blender Storm Pro] for years and like their convenience, cost, and ease of use. Students (undergraduate and graduate) are able to homogenize samples of all kinds from the mouse without many obstacles.

I use this [Bullet Blender Storm Pro] to grind up and prepare mosquito specimens. This works perfectly, which can be difficult when the specimens have an exoskeleton. Another benefit is that this blender has a small footprint so it doesn’t take up too much space. Countertop space in a lab is a precious commodity. The ease of use makes this an ideal purchase if you have the need to grind up small insects or other specimens that are difficult using hand grinding techniques. I haven’t tried larger insects or ticks, but I assume this will still work as well. For the price, this can’t be beat and I strongly recommend it.
