Ideal for magnetic bead extraction kit processing.
The system allows to process eight samples at a time and for the three types of steps in the magnetic bead extraction protocols: mixing, washing, and magnetic separation. The magnetic rack system consists of 3 parts:
- Mixing Base
- Tube Rack
- Magnetic Stand
The tube rack can hold up to eight 1.5 mL (screw cap or snap cap) or 2 mL tubes upright.Â
Place the tube rack on the magnetic stand, for separating the beads from the slurry as shown here.
For mixing steps, just place the tube rack on the mixing base, as shown here. The mixing base captures the tubes in the tube rack so that you can easily mix the tubes by hand or place them on a rocker.
