2010, our 7th year in business, marks the introduction of several new products, including the Biobox Bullet Blender® for homogenizing infectious samples, the Infinity Rocker extra long life series of rockers, a dual-syringe pump, mini-centrifuges, a powerful Bullet Blender homogenizer for use with 5 mL tubes for 1 g samples, and now a Bullet Blender that can process up to 8 samples in 50 mL tubes, with all the punch of the microtube and 5 mL tube models.
Next Advance, Inc. announces the BIOBOX™ for use in combination with the Bullet Blender® homogenizer. The BIOBOX™ is a negative pressure, locking containment unit which encapsulates the Bullet Blender®, thereby providing an additional layer of protection. The BIOBOX and the housing of the integrated Bullet Blender® are clear so leaks or spills, albeit rare, are readily identifiable. The negative pressure is applied so that contaminants will not leak outward from the BIOBOX™. Controls are mounted on the outside of the containment unit.
Next Advance, Inc. announces the Bullet Blender® BLUE 5, the newest addition to the Bullet Blender® family of homogenizers. Our most powerful model, the Bullet Blender® BLUE 5 can homogenize or disrupt tough samples up to 1 gram in size in only 5 minutes or less. Like its predecessor, the Bullet Blender® BLUE which processes up to 24 samples in microcentrifuge tubes, the Bullet Blender® BLUE 5 uses a patented technology to effectively process up to 12 separate tissue or cell culture samples in 5 mL tubes, without significantly heating up the samples. This new model has Air Cooling™ to keep the samples cool during homogenization, and to prevent heat build up when processing multiple rounds of samples. Because it processes multiple samples in parallel, in just minutes, results are consistent, reproducible, and cost effective. The processing can be tailored to a wide range of samples, from cell cultures to tough tissue such as heart and tumors to plant samples such as roots and leaves, by using different beads, agitation settings, and durations. It is also convenient for vortexing multiple samples for several minutes, such as for phenol chloroform extractions. Samples remain in separate sealed tubes, without any intrusive probes, so cross-contamination is mitigated. Its high-throughput capabilities, ease of use, and price make the Bullet Blender® family an easy choice for your cell lysis or homogenization!
Next Advance announces the multi-dispense option for the programmable Freedom Rockers™. Users can now dispense separate antibodies into each of 2 or 4 trays.
