For those situations where a 30° tilt just isn’t enough — the RoboRocker 240 series will get you the extra angle. With a tilt angle capability of up to ±45°, combined with every RoboRocker’s ability to remain (i.e. pause) at the tilt angle, this rocker is meant for particular situations — such as creating greater shear flow in microfluidic channels to simulate in vivo conditions for blood vessel cell cultures. These rockers are designed for special applications which require steeper tilts. Note that these rockers have a lower load capacity. For more typical microfluidic device, culture plate and other incubator applications, see the All Purpose – 210 series RoboRockers.
Features of the RoboRocker 240 Series
- Tilt Angle Range: ±45°. Contact us for a custom version rocker capable of steeper tilt angles.
- Maximum Travel Speed: 30 deg/sec (e.g. 45° to -10° in under 2 seconds).
- Minimum Travel Speed (in regular mode): 0.1 deg/sec.
- Minimum Travel Speed (in ultra slow mode): 300 minutes per degree (e.g. 50 hours to travel 10 degrees).
- Pause Time: 0 seconds to 90 minutes.
- Load capacity: 2.2 lbs (1 kg) on a platform. Racks only handle SBS format culture plates.
- Power: 24V DC, 60 Watt external power supply.
- Temperature range: 4°C to 40°C (warning: rapid temperature changes may cause condensation and void the warranty).
- Environment: The RoboRocker can be used safely in a CO2 incubator.
- Weight of RoboRocker: 8.5 lb (4 kg).
- Platform and Rack Options (select when ordering the RoboRocker): Platform; 1-level rack; 2-level rack. Racks are ideal for retaining culture plates at steep tilt angles.
- Width: Models with platform: 11.5 inches (29 cm) wide. Models with rack: 8 inches (20 cm) wide. Allow clearance room on both sides for travel.
- Depth: Models with platform: 11.5 inches (29 cm) deep. Models with rack: 12.5 inches (32 cm) deep.
